Paige and Nikki Bella will square off again. WWE set up the rematch during Friday’s SmackDown and slated it for the October 16 episode at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.
The announcement came in a backstage segment after Nikki interrupted a Chelsea Green interview and said she plans to pursue a shot at the WWE Women’s Championship. Moments later, Paige arrived and made it clear that Nikki would have to go through her again first.
Paige then revealed that she had already secured another match against Nikki, two weeks away, and ended the confrontation by slapping her across the face.
The two met on the September 11 SmackDown in Mexico City, and Nikki picked up the win.

The storyline traces back to WrestleMania 42, where Paige stepped in for Nikki and won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Brie Bella. Months later, the Bella Twins attacked Paige at SummerSlam following a loss to Fatal Influence.
The rematch announcement has also added to speculation about a possible return for Brie, who has not wrestled since fracturing her scapula in three places at SummerSlam. She recently pointed to October 1 as an important date in evaluating her recovery.
