Brie Bella doesn’t plan to close out her current WWE run with just the Women’s Tag Team Championship. After she and Paige lost the title at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the Hall of Famer revealed she wants one more run at a singles title.
The comment came during a live taping of The Nikki & Brie Show at Fanatics Fest on July 19, with Paige and AJ Lee joining as guests. The episode touched on all four wrestlers’ returns, possible new alliances and issues still left unresolved in their careers.
Brie’s comments came just one day after Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid defeated her and Paige at Madison Square Garden. Jacy Jayne interfered directly in the finish, allowing Reid to pin Paige and end the title reign that began at WrestleMania 42.
Brie’s interest in the singles division had already been showing before she lost the tag titles. On July 3, she faced Lainey Reid in her first singles match since September 2018. The match lasted just three minutes and 18 seconds, something that left her frustrated.
Brie later said she had been asking for a singles opportunity for quite a while and was disappointed to learn how short the match would be. Even so, she felt she’d managed to leave the crowd interested in seeing her wrestle again.
Brie has won only one singles title in her entire career. On April 11, 2011, she beat Eve Torres for the Divas Championship and held it for 70 days. Her last singles title match came at Fastlane 2016, when she lost to Charlotte Flair.
The Bella Twins signed two-year deals that began at Royal Rumble 2026, and both have already indicated that this will be their final run in the ring.
