Add as a preferred source on Google Brock Lesnar again indicated that his WWE in-ring career is over after losing to Oba Femi in the main event of SummerSlam Night 1 on Aug. 1 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Femi won the Hell in a Cell match, closing out the trilogy with a 2-1 record. After the match, the veteran called Femi the future of WWE, said he was part of the past, then raised his rival’s arm before embracing him.
Asked what the moment meant to him, Lesnar kept it short:
“Saturday, for Brock Lesnar, that was it. That’s it for me.”

WWE reinforced that interpretation on the Aug. 3 episode of Monday Night RAW. The company aired a retrospective on The Beast Incarnate’s career, Roman Reigns said goodbye to his former rival, and Femi said, “The Beast can finally rest.” Lesnar is also currently listed in the Alumni section of WWE’s official website.
Still, nothing is official yet. WWE aired the same retrospective in April after Lesnar left his gloves and boots in the ring at WrestleMania 42. A few weeks later, he returned to attack Femi and continue the rivalry.
Triple H, for his part, declined to confirm the retirement, saying Brock “does what Brock wants to do.”
The SummerSlam loss, regardless, ends the rivalry with Femi and cements the torch-passing angle. The King of the Ring winner still has a future title opportunity and went face-to-face with Bron Breakker on RAW, teasing his next move.
