Add as a preferred source on Google The Undertaker broke his silence following AAA Noche de Los Grandes, which took place last Saturday, May 30, at Arena Monterrey in Mexico. The event was treated as one of the biggest shows of the company’s new era under WWE.
On his official X account, the WWE Hall of Famer thanked the fans in attendance, as well as those who watched the broadcast.
“The atmosphere was electric. The world was watching. History was made.
To all those in attendance in Monterrey and for everyone who watched #AAANocheDeLosGrandes wherever you did…thank you for making it a truly epic night for @luchalibreaaa!”
Undertaker’s comments carry extra weight because of his involvement with AAA. In January, he confirmed he had been helping with the company’s creative direction, with a focus on raising production value and improving the way stories are told, without turning AAA into a version of Raw or SmackDown.
The biggest highlight of the night was the Mask vs. Mask Match between El Grande Americano and “Original” El Grande Americano. After losing, the Original removed his mask and was revealed as Chad Gable, ending one of AAA’s most important rivalries in recent months.
Rey Fenix also captured the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship, El Hijo del Vikingo won the AAA Latin American Championship, and The War Raiders defeated Psycho Clown and Pagano to win the AAA World Tag Team Championship.
