Green won a five-way ladder match for the Interim WWE Women’s Championship on Sunday, August 2, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, beating Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, Charlotte Flair, and Lash Legend.
With all four of her opponents down following a battle atop the ladders, Green had a clear path to climb up and unhook the title.
After the show went off the air, ESPN presented the new champion with its Moment of the Night Championship, tabbing the ladder match and Green’s win as the top moment of SummerSlam Night 2.
Green is the second wrestler to be handed the belt. Oba Femi received the first one on Saturday night after beating Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match.
Despite the name and the presentation, the ESPN belt is a promotional award and does not count as a championship reign recognized by WWE. ESPN launched it to spotlight the most impactful performance, storyline, or moment from each premium live event, with a new winner selected after every show.
