CM Punk’s status for WWE Money in the Bank has shifted significantly in recent days, and his involvement in the October 10 premium live event is no longer considered a certainty.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, Punk was at one point discussed internally to work the show in New Orleans, but that is no longer a given at this stage.

The update stands out because WrestleVotes itself reported just three days ago that it had heard Punk would be working the Money in the Bank card. It appears those plans have changed in some way since then.
Punk is also set to face Gunther and Finn Bálor on Friday’s SmackDown in a Triple Threat qualifying match for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
Another important factor is that WWE released a schedule in August listing 22 appearances for Punk through the end of October. Punk is advertised for the October 9 SmackDown in Louisiana and again for the October 16 show, but Money in the Bank, which takes place between those two dates on October 10, is missing from the list.
Money in the Bank will be held at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
