Cody Rhodes has voiced his annoyance with some wrestlers who did not support the release of Street Fighter, the movie in which he plays Guile.

He revealed he started paying attention to who helped promote the film and who chose to stay quiet.

Rhodes appeared on The Rich Eisen Show on Thursday and said wrestlers tend to wish each other success but don’t always back it up in practice. He pointed to Seth Rollins as an example and praised him for attending the movie’s premiere in Los Angeles.

“Seth showed up at the Street Fighter premiere,” Rhodes said. “He’s a real one.”

Rhodes also revealed he keeps a list of the colleagues who supported the release. He kept track of who showed up at the premiere and who posted about Street Fighter on social media.

When Rich Eisen asked whether the list really existed, Rhodes confirmed it did and admitted there was a healthy dose of personal pettiness behind his decision to keep it. He did not reveal who is on it.

Rhodes said he is pressing his peers for support because of the opportunities Street Fighter could open up for other wrestlers. He questioned why some colleagues can’t post even a single message encouraging people to see the movie, especially with three wrestlers in the cast.

“We’re trying to move the ball forward,” Rhodes said.

He said the film’s success matters to the entire industry, though he acknowledged he would be one of the biggest beneficiaries himself.

The cast also includes Roman Reigns as Akuma and Hirooki Goto as E. Honda.

Rollins was at the premiere on October 12 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.
