Dave Meltzer has released his star ratings for the top matches from WWE SummerSlam 2026, held August 1 and 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins earned the highest rating of the card, while Danhausen vs. Dominik Mysterio came in at the bottom.
Meltzer gave the Night 2 main event — Reigns defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Rollins — 4.75 stars. Reigns won after three consecutive Spears to close out the 33-and-a-half-minute match, which included multiple callbacks to The Shield.
WWE positioned the bout as the final chapter between the former Shield members. Reigns entered SummerSlam as champion after defeating CM Punk at WrestleMania 42.
On Night 1, CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship got 4.25 stars. Punk retained after Randy Orton returned and hit Rhodes with an RKO, setting up the GTS.
Liv Morgan vs. IYO SKY also pulled 4.25 stars. Morgan retained the Women’s World Championship in 13:35, with interference from Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez. The win evened the series after SKY beat Morgan in the Queen of the Ring final on June 27.
Danhausen vs. Dominik Mysterio drew the lowest rating at 0.5 stars. The Human Monies on a Pole Match went 6:50 and ended with Danhausen grabbing the bag of money after interference from JD McDonagh, the Minihausens, and Joe Hendry.
