Logan Paul isn’t expected to be cleared for an in-ring return before November.
On his latest vlog, WWE producer Michael Hayes told Paul directly that the timeline came from Bruce Prichard and Triple H after they consulted the company’s medical staff.
Paul tore his triceps on May 23 while defending the WWE World Tag Team Championship with Austin Theory against the Street Profits at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Four days later, he revealed he had undergone surgery and that doctors were initially working with a six-month recovery window.
“You’re not. You’re not cleared until at least November. This came from Bruce and Paul,” Hayes said.
Paul had been painting a more optimistic picture in the months since. In July, he said he was three months ahead of schedule in his recovery. By late August, after a new evaluation, he was telling people backstage at RAW that he was “semi-cleared” and had already been given the green light to throw clotheslines.
Later in the same vlog, Paul sat down with Triple H and orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Dugas. The doctor held firm on a total recovery timeline of five and a half to six months and made clear that the elbow still isn’t ready.
“The biology of what’s happening in that elbow is not ready to be cleared. The risk outweighs the benefit,” Dr. Dugas said.
Despite being sidelined, Paul has continued to appear on WWE programming in a non-wrestling role.
