Mandy Rose’s pro wrestling future remains up in the air, even after nearly four years away from the ring.
In a recent interview on TMZ’s Inside The Ring, the former WWE NXT Women’s Champion discussed her current mindset and the possibility of a return to the business.
“For sure,” she said about taking a call from AEW. “I would take any call, whether it was AEW, WWE, TNA. It doesn’t matter where it’s from. I would always take the call. What would be different would be the conversation I have with whichever company it would be. Because it would be about the Mandy Rose today, and it wouldn’t be about the Mandy Rose five years ago. I think that’s what’s so important because I’ve grown. I’ve been very successful these past few years, especially being out of WWE. I think I’m in a different headspace. I’m in a different mindset of what I want to do, how I want to portray the rest of my career and also what I want to do to my body.”
Rose also said she would be open to a non-wrestling role and that another match could still happen.
“We all know that you can get beat up and work a managerial position or anything like that. I would totally not be opposed to either as well because I wouldn’t be opposed to maybe getting back in the ring one day. I always just say ‘never say never’ because I feel like you never know how you’re going to feel in a certain timeframe. Maybe there is a day that I’m like, ‘I really feel like getting back in the ring.’ I’m like, ‘Why not?’ I’m still young. I still take care of myself really well. That’s why I always say, never say never.”
Rose hasn’t wrestled since December 13, 2022, when she lost the NXT Women’s Championship to Roxanne Perez. She was released by WWE the following day, ending a 413-day title reign.
Rose and Tino Sabbatelli welcomed their first child on July 31. In the same interview, she said she is in a different place now as a wife and mother, with more independence outside WWE.
