Kendal Grey is still out with vertigo and balance problems from her August ear injury, with no return date set.

Update on Kendal Grey’s WWE NXT In-Ring Return

Kendal Grey still hasn’t been cleared to return. Tuesday’s WWE NXT aired a segment of Grey visiting Dr. Smith at Evolve Health & Wellness, with Wren Sinclair by her side.

Grey said she still deals with anxiety and dizziness at times but considers herself ready to compete. Dr. Smith explained that she didn’t suffer a concussion. The issue is in her ear and vestibular system, which has been sending conflicting signals, causing vertigo and balance problems.

There is no timeline for her return to training or competition.

Grey talked about the frustration of being stuck at home with nothing to do. Dr. Smith held firm on not clearing her and recommended she work with a sports psychologist during her recovery.

The problem started on the August 4 episode of WWE NXT. Grey hit her head on the steel steps during an NXT Underground Match against Lola Vice and suffered a deep gash on her right ear. She returned to the match and retained the NXT Women’s Championship.

Before Heatwave, Grey had already revealed she was still dealing with ringing in her ear and balance issues. She defended the title anyway on August 30 and lost it to Kelani Jordan.

Grey hasn’t competed since. Sinclair, meanwhile, is suspended from NXT after attacking Jordan and striking a referee on the September 8 episode.
