Drew McIntyre Hints His WWE Return Isn’t a Priority Yet

Drew McIntyre has signaled that he plans to keep putting his film career first, despite recent reports of a possible WWE return. He has been off television since losing to Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42 in April.

Speaking with OutKick, McIntyre said he is in the best shape of his life at 285 pounds, about 10 pounds heavier than he was while filming Agent of Shadows. He also discussed a recent video of himself training, saying the clip has topped 8 million views on social media.

McIntyre would not commit to a timeline when asked about returning to WWE.

“I posted myself running the ropes the other day, you know, keeping myself in ring shape. I’m always ready to go. But right now, I’m focused on ‘Hollywood Drew.’ So, we’ll see. We will see. I’m not giving anything away.”

His answer contrasts with a recent report from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select that WWE is discussing bringing him back as part of the Raw roster rather than SmackDown.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter also reported in early October that most of McIntyre’s film commitments were complete, clearing the way for his return to the ring.

In a separate recent interview with Collider, McIntyre said Nick Khan and Triple H signed off on his extended time away, meaning his return could still be weeks or even months away.
