Drew McIntyre said he does not need WWE or the fans, but that both need him.

In an interview on The Joe Vulpis Podcast, he made the provocative remark while commenting on his next steps and the opponents he still intends to face.

McIntyre reinforced the message he presented on Bradley Martyn’s Raw Talk podcast. In that interview, he said he intends to talk constantly about his work in Hollywood when he returns to the ring and that the audience should be grateful for his return.

“Unfinished business with more people than I can count. I think a lot of them got unfinished business with me because they’re all quite frankly jealous. Imagine how jealous they are that I’m Hollywood Drew now. Yeah, Hollywood Drew here. He’s got places to be and people to see. Got this watch here, recommended by Russell [Crowe].”

McIntyre also commented on his relationship with the company and the audience.

“I mean, realistically, I’ve not been full of myself but you know, WWE and the fans need me. I don’t need y’all, but I’m still going to be there for you because I truly am a good man. The last last real good guy.”

McIntyre, however, linked the continuation of his career to his own satisfaction and the fans’ reaction. On Raw Talk, before the provocative remark about Hollywood, he responded that he intends to keep wrestling as long as he likes what he does and the audience likes his work. He also said he cannot imagine himself slowing down.
