Eric Bischoff Rips Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay at AEW All In

Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay headlined AEW All In: London at Wembley Stadium, with Ospreay capturing the AEW World Championship for the first time. The match, however, drew sharp criticism from Eric Bischoff.

Speaking on a special edition of 83 Weeks recorded shortly after the pay-per-view, the WWE Hall of Famer made it clear he expected far more from the main event. That said, Bischoff praised Ospreay’s presentation, the entrances, and AEW’s ability to deliver a big-event atmosphere at Wembley.

When the conversation shifted to the in-ring work, though, Bischoff didn’t hold back.

“I didn’t like the match at all… it was like watching a Nasty Boys match. It was a hardcore, slow-paced match.”

Bischoff clarified that the comparison wasn’t between Omega, Ospreay, and the Nasty Boys as performers, but about the style of the match itself. The former WCW president felt the bout devolved into what was essentially a no-rules brawl featuring weapons, blood, and little structure, despite carrying no special stipulation.

The Hall of Famer also said he expected more from Ospreay, taking issue with the lengthy stretch of Omega dominating the action before Ospreay finally mounted his comeback and won the title.

The criticism stands out even more given Bischoff’s history with both wrestlers. After their match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in 2023, his reaction couldn’t have been more different.

“I was blown away. Ospreay reminds me of a tougher Shawn Michaels.”

At the time, Bischoff went so far as to say he wasn’t sure he had ever seen a better match, singling out the psychology, storytelling, and pacing that Omega and Ospreay brought to that bout.
