Fallon Henley left WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event as a champion, but the celebration of the biggest win of her career so far in the company was marked by two incidents with fans.
This past Saturday, July 18, at Madison Square Garden, Henley and Lainey Reid defeated Paige and Brie Bella to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship for the first time.
As Fatal Influence was leaving the ring, a young fan leaned over the barricade and pushed Henley, causing her to lose her balance. She immediately turned to confront him, but the broadcast cut to Paige and Brie Bella, who were still in the ring.
Before that, during the title presentation, another fan kept his hand on Henley for several seconds. The new champion yelled at the fan to stop touching her.
Shortly after the show, Henley took to social media to address the incidents. She said:
“Don’t touch the wrestlers. Period.”
Paige and Brie Bella had held the titles since WrestleMania 42 and made four successful defenses. Henley and Reid, on the other hand, had lost to the former champions in a non-title match back in June, but have since regrouped to finally earn another opportunity.
