Oba Femi took another shot at Brock Lesnar in the final stretch of the build to their match at WWE SummerSlam.
During Saturday’s Countdown to Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden, Femi was introduced by Stephanie McMahon. Femi acknowledged that he lost his last match against Lesnar, but pointed out that the rivalry is tied at one win apiece.
Asked whether he had any fear about stepping inside the structure, Femi said he has already won the mental battle and now lives in Lesnar’s head.
The SummerSlam bout will be the third singles match between the two. Femi will be competing in his first-ever Hell in a Cell match, while Lesnar is 2-2 in the stipulation, including two wins over The Undertaker.
Femi won King of the Ring by defeating Jey Uso at Night of Champions, earning a future world title shot. However, he put that opportunity on hold to settle his rivalry with Lesnar at SummerSlam.
On the most recent episode of Raw, Paul Heyman tried to prevent another confrontation with a fake restraining order. Femi attacked the men and accused Lesnar of hiding and running from him.
The Hell in a Cell match will take place at SummerSlam, set for August 1 and 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
