Lyra Valkyria is set to return to Monday Night RAW competition tonight after an eight-week absence. She’ll face Sol Ruca on the August 17 show, airing live from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York.
Valkyria last wrestled on RAW back on June 22, teaming with Bayley to challenge Paige and Brie Bella for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. They came up short, and Valkyria turned on Bayley immediately after the match with a vicious attack, ending their alliance.
That doesn’t mean Valkyria has been completely out of action, though. She defeated Bayley on July 18 at Saturday Night’s Main Event from Madison Square Garden in a hard-hitting bout.
The rivalry with Sol Ruca picked up steam again on last week’s RAW. After Ruca and IYO SKY picked up a win over Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, Valkyria showed up backstage and confronted Ruca, questioning her intentions regarding the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

Ruca dropped the title to Raquel Rodriguez on July 27, ending a 57-day reign. Tonight’s bout will put two former champions on a collision course.
