FTR made a surprise return to AEW programming on Sunday at All In: London. Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler showed up at Wembley Stadium with Stokely Hathaway once again by their side.
The return came right after Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defeated the Young Bucks to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
After the match, the Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, hit the ring to confront Copeland and Cage, making it clear they have their sights set on the titles. FTR and Big Stoke then came out as well, creating a standoff between three of AEW’s top tag teams.
Harwood and Wheeler had been off AEW television since Double or Nothing in May, where they dropped the AEW World Tag Team Championship to Copeland and Cage in a New York Street Fight “I Quit” Match.

In June, Harwood revealed that he and Wheeler were physically and mentally drained and had decided to take their first voluntary break as a team in roughly 12 years, with no return date set.
FTR had actually already gotten back in the ring on Saturday, just hours before All In. At the RevPro 14 Year Anniversary show, also in London, Harwood and Wheeler defeated Cowboy Way to capture the Undisputed British Tag Team Championship for the first time.
With FTR and the Motor City Machine Guns now in the mix, AEW’s tag team division has two strong contenders lined up to challenge Copeland and Cage.
