Jacy Jayne paid tribute to Shawn Michaels on night one of WWE SummerSlam.
Fatal Influence came out at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis with Jayne in black, white and silver gear, a leather cap and shades — a nod to the look HBK wore at SummerSlam 1994, when he was in Diesel’s corner for his Intercontinental Title defense against Razor Ramon. Michaels runs NXT creative these days as WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent Development, Creative.
There’s a bit of history baked into the nod. Michaels and Diesel had taken the World Tag Team Titles off The Headshrinkers at a house show the night before that show, so Big Daddy Cool was walking around with the IC Title and half the tag straps at the same time. The finish saw Shawn go for Sweet Chin Music on Razor, whiff, and drill his own partner instead, letting Razor cover Diesel and take the belt back.

This isn’t the first time Jayne has tied her character to the two-time Hall of Famer. In 2023, after she turned on Gigi Dolin in a Barber Shop-style angle that blew up Toxic Attraction, she started going by “The Heartbreak Chick.”
Jayne has said Michaels saw parallels between their careers and told her to work every day, especially since she didn’t come into WWE with an amateur background or a high-level athletic one.
The night worked out for her in the ring, too. Fatal Influence beat Paige and The Bella Twins in the six-woman tag, with Jayne pinning Paige after the Rolling Encore.
