Brie Bella may have suffered a right shoulder injury during the six-woman tag against Fatal Influence on Night One of WWE SummerSlam.
Brie teamed with Nikki Bella and Paige against Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid on Saturday’s show at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The shoulder appeared to go on a spot out on the floor, with Jayne yanking Brie off the top rope before Lainey Reid drove her into the steel steps and Jayne followed up with a cannonball against them.
Word after the match pointed to Jayne’s cannonball as the culprit, though the footage shows Brie’s right shoulder taking the brunt of Reid’s stomp into the steps first.
From there, Brie ate the heat with the arm hanging at her side, visibly favoring it every time she got back to her feet, but stayed in and eventually made the hot tag to Nikki.
Brie Bella seemed to have suffered a legit injury to her right shoulder during the match against Fatal Influence.

It possibly happened on the steel stairs spot with Jacy Jayne — as Brie held her shoulder for the rest of the match/post-match.

It stood out even more once Jayne beat Paige with the Rolling Encore. During the post-match angle that saw the Bellas turn on Paige, Brie got in one kick and immediately went back to protecting the shoulder, leaving Nikki to do nearly all of the beatdown and finish it with the Rack Attack 2.0.
As of this writing, neither WWE nor Brie has confirmed an injury or given any update, so there’s no way to tell from the footage alone whether it was legitimate or Brie selling the work on the arm.
The match was the first time the twins have teamed since Nikki returned from the broken ankle that cost her more than four months and kept her out of WrestleMania 42.
If the injury is confirmed, it would have a direct impact on the Bellas’ new program with Paige.
