Kendal Grey, one of the most promising names in WWE NXT’s current women’s division, recently commented on the major praise she received from Dave Meltzer.
The Wrestling Observer Radio journalist said Grey has the potential to become the greatest North American women’s wrestler of all time, while also arguing that she should be given a major spotlight right away.
During an interview with TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Grey was asked about the reaction and said she tries not to let social media comments affect her too much.
“I try not to read too much into online and social media and what people are saying because ultimately no matter what I do, people are gonna say negative things, people are gonna say positive things. So I just try to be me, be authentic to myself and not try to read too much into it. I don’t want to get in my head about stuff.”
Grey made it clear, however, that her goal is to reach the top of the division.
“But at the end of the day, I do want to be the best. That’s what I train for. I come in here every single day, get better every single day, take all the information I can and just grow my mind about this business.”
“Ultimately, if that happens, hopefully it happens, it’ll happen down the road authentically. I try not to read too much into it. I just try to do what I can, work hard, and if it happens, it happens.”
In WWE, Grey has already captured the Evolve Women’s Championship and won the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge in 2025. In March, she vacated the Evolve title after officially being promoted to NXT.
Grey will have another major opportunity this Sunday, June 28, when she challenges Lola Vice for the NXT Women’s Championship at Great American Bash.
