AEW has announced that Kenny Omega will appear live on Dynamite this Wednesday, July 29, to speak for the first time about what happened at the end of Redemption.
Tonight’s show will take place at the Masonic Temple Theater in Detroit, Michigan. Dynamite airs at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on TBS and HBO Max.
Omega defeated Kevin Knight with a One-Winged Angel on Sunday, retaining the AEW World Championship in the first defense of his second reign. The Death Riders attacked Omega after the match.
Will Ospreay stopped Claudio Castagnoli from attacking Omega with a chair and refused an order from Jon Moxley to suffocate Omega with a plastic bag. Ospreay then fought off the group, threw away his Death Rider knee pad and handed the title back to Omega as a sign of respect.
After they shook hands, however, Omega caught Ospreay with a One-Winged Angel. Ospreay had just told Omega that, from that point forward, things would be between the two of them, with no outside involvement.
Ospreay also helped Omega win the title on July 8 by taking the Dynamite Diamond Ring away from MJF during the Beach Break main event.
Omega will defend the AEW World Championship against Ospreay at All In: London on August 30 at Wembley Stadium.
