Kevin Knight etched his name into AEW history on the July 18 episode of Collision, taped at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston. A member of the Don Callis Family, Knight defeated AR Fox for his ninth successful defense of the TNT Championship in a single reign, setting a new record for the title.
Fox came close to picking up the win after connecting with a 450 Splash, but Knight escaped the pinfall and blocked Fox’s attempt at the Lo Mein Pain. The champion then hit an Avalanche Crash Landing, followed by the UFO Splash, to seal the win.
Knight won the TNT Championship on April 12 at AEW Dynasty, capturing the title in a Casino Gauntlet Match after it was left vacant by Kyle Fletcher. Since then, The Jet has beaten Claudio Castagnoli, MJF, HOOK, Brian Cage, Speedball Mike Bailey, Myron Reed, Dezmond Xavier, Lio Rush and, now, AR Fox.

The ninth defense made Knight the first wrestler to reach that mark in just a single reign with the TNT Championship.
The champion, however, won’t have much time to celebrate. Knight will put the title on the line again on the July 22 episode of AEW Dynamite, when he faces Darby Allin.
Four days later, on July 26, Knight will get the biggest opportunity of his career. He’ll challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at Redemption, AEW’s first pay-per-view in Montreal, at the Bell Centre.
