Add as a preferred source on Google Lola Vice’s next match for the NXT Women’s Championship could be her farewell to WWE‘s developmental brand.
Vice will face Kendal Grey in an NXT Underground match on the August 4 episode. The stipulation favors the former champion, who remains undefeated in that match type and earned her title shot by beating Kelani Jordan and Kali Armstrong.
According to F4WOnline’s Bryan Alvarez, however, WWE is already preparing to call Vice up to the main roster, with Friday Night SmackDown considered her most likely destination.
“It is believed Lola Vice has been called up and will likely be on SmackDown.”
The possible move gained momentum after AAA Verano de Escándalo, where Vice and Mr. Iguana lost the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship to La Hiedra and Laredo Kid, ending a reign that began in February.
Vice has also already closed out her main run in NXT. She won the NXT Women’s Championship at Stand & Deliver on April 4 and held the title for 85 days, until Grey beat her for it at the Great American Bash on June 28.
