Add as a preferred source on Google Brie Bella could get an immediate shot at payback against Fatal Influence on tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown at Oakland Arena in Oakland, California.
According to TRNBCKL GOLD, a match between Bella and Jacy Jayne is listed on an early version of the show’s internal format. WWE has not officially announced the match.
So far, the company has announced only Charlotte Flair vs. Nia Jax and Chelsea Green vs. Kiana James, both qualifiers for the match that will crown the Interim WWE Women’s Champion, along with segments involving CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and Gunther.
This past Saturday, July 18, at Madison Square Garden, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid beat Bella and Paige to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Jayne had a direct hand in the finish, shoving Paige during a roll-up attempt so Reid could get the pinfall.
The potential match would also continue a story that started in April, when Fatal Influence debuted on SmackDown by attacking Bella, Paige, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. Last week, Bella and Paige took out Henley and Reid before Jayne lost to Tiffany Stratton.
If the match is made official, it will be only Bella’s second singles match since her WWE return. She lost to Lainey Reid on July 3 in a match that ran a little more than three minutes.
Days later, Bella admitted she was frustrated with the length of the match.
