Lucha Underground, which recently became a topic among fans after years of silence, is not expected to return despite the rumors.

According to Fightful Select, the brand and its tape library remain under MGM/Amazon control, and there is no confirmation that any company is involved in a relaunch.

Speculation picked up after the company’s official website began referencing live event production and a possible touring schedule, along with a cryptic post on social media.

However, the more likely path appears to be something else, as old episodes of Lucha Underground are expected to be made available in some form on YouTube.

The official Lucha Underground account on X made its first post since 2019 on April 24, posting a teaser that quickly topped 3 million views.

Even so, people connected to the original production said no wrestlers or staff members have been contacted about a new version.

The series aired in the United States on El Rey Network from October 2014 to November 2018, running for four seasons. During that run, names such as Penta, Rey Fenix, Ricochet, Brian Cage, Johnny Mundo, Santos Escobar, Chelsea Green, Swerve Strickland, and Jeff Cobb all passed through the Temple.
