Tiffany Stratton opened up about a major backstage scare she recently dealt with in WWE, just moments before making her entrance for a match.
During a Twitch stream, the current Women’s United States Champion said she was in the gorilla position during a commercial break when a strap on her ring gear broke shortly before she was set to head to the ring.
“In gorilla, like two minutes before I went out and wrestled, it was a commercial break and I was warming up. The strap on my gear just broke, literally a minute and a half before I was supposed to go out. So I screamed, ‘My strap just broke!’ I almost had to wrestle in my merch shirt. In the end, we were able to tie it up. It was that butterfly top, the white gear with the blue and pink. It was really scary. Everyone in gorilla was panicking.”

Stratton did not reveal exactly which show the incident happened on, but made it clear the situation was handled at the last second without her entrance or match needing to be changed.
The moment comes during an important stretch for Stratton. According to WWE’s official website, she listed as Women’s United States Champion, while her résumé already includes the WWE Women’s Championship, the NXT Women’s Championship and the 2024 Money in the Bank win.
