Bronson Reed appears to be closing in on a return to WWE, and the Australian already has a high-profile target in mind: World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns.
Reed took to X to react to the announcement of WWE’s upcoming Perth, Australia dates, firing a shot directly at his former rival.
“Might mess around and beat Roman again.”
The callout was anything but random. Reed and Reigns squared off twice in singles action in 2025. The OTC took the first bout at Clash in Paris, but Reed evened the score at Crown Jewel in Perth, beating Reigns in an Australian Street Fight. The two stand tied at 1-1.
A rubber match makes even more sense given Reed’s timeline. He’s been on the shelf since the February 23 edition of Monday Night RAW, when he suffered a biceps injury during a Triple Threat against Jey Uso and El Grande Americano. He went under the knife four days later.
According to PWInsider Elite, Reed is “very close” to returning, with people inside WWE believing it could happen as early as September. Separately, Fightful Select reported that the plan is to bring him back as a main event-level heel.
WWE returns to Perth for three consecutive shows at RAC Arena: SmackDown on December 11, Wrestlepalooza on December 12, and RAW on December 14.
