AAA may be preparing more surprises for the future after Damian Priest’s debut on the July 4 episode, which took place in Mérida, Mexico.

Priest was introduced by Rey Mysterio as the newest member of the roster, marking another step toward bringing WWE and AAA’s talent pools closer together following the acquisition announced in April 2025.

After the segment, Mysterio returned to the commentary desk alongside Corey Graves and JBL. That was when JBL asked about the possibility of Bad Bunny also appearing in AAA. The General Manager’s answer was brief, but it was enough to fuel speculation.

“We’re working on that as well.”

A possible Bad Bunny return to WWE would not come out of nowhere. The Puerto Rican artist has strong ties to Priest, who teamed with him at WrestleMania 37 against The Miz and John Morrison. He later competed in the 2022 men’s Royal Rumble and faced Priest himself in a San Juan Street Fight at Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico.

That Backlash match also featured Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Bálor, Carlito, Savio Vega, and the Latino World Order, and it is still viewed as one of the best celebrity appearances in recent WWE history.

Bad Bunny has also publicly made it clear that he wants to return to the ring, saying he remains in contact with people in WWE and would like to physically prepare to wrestle again.
