Current TNA World Champion Mike Santana could be heading into a decisive stretch in his career, just as he is in the middle of his most important run with the company.
According to PWInsider, Santana’s TNA contract is set to expire at some point in July. WWE has shown interest in Santana in the past, and the expectation is that talks could take place if he becomes a free agent.
Santana returned to TNA in April 2024 following his AEW run, where he worked from 2019 to 2024. Before that, he had already been part of TNA from 2017 to 2019. Santana is currently in his second reign as TNA World Champion. He regained the title on January 15 by defeating Frankie Kazarian in the main event of iMPACT!.
Since then, Santana has been treated as one of TNA’s top names. At Rebellion on April 11, he retained the title against Eddie Edwards in the main event despite multiple interferences from The System.
