Mike Santana may be entering his final weeks as a TNA wrestler, right as he holds the most important spot in the company.
According to False Finish, Santana’s contract with TNA is set to expire sometime between mid-July and August. The backstage expectation is that he will sign with WWE once he becomes a free agent.
As previously reported, WWE has real interest in signing Santana, and there is strong internal support from at least one main roster name for that to happen.
Santana is also well regarded by the company for his professionalism and his in-ring work. The current belief is that, if he does leave TNA and sign with WWE, the company would like to have him on the main roster before the end of 2026. At this point, however, it is not known whether he would go to RAW or SmackDown.
Before that, Santana still has major business ahead of him. Eric Young is scheduled to challenge him for the TNA World Championship on iMPACT! soon.
It is worth remembering that WWE and TNA have had a multi-year partnership in place since January 2025, allowing crossover appearances between NXT and TNA talent, which could help make a deal easier.
