MJF turned up the heat again ahead of another major AEW World Championship defense. In an interview with Justin Barrasso for Undisputed, the current champion said no other top name in the industry is as good as he is once the bell rings.

The comment came while discussing AEW Double or Nothing, which took place in May at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. MJF faced Darby Allin in a Hair vs. Title Match, saved his own hair, and captured the championship for the third time. The match closed the show as the 12th bout on the card.

“I was match number fcking twelve. Twelve. You think that happens to other fcking top guys in this industry? No. But other top guys in this industry aren’t as good as I am bell-to-bell, so they can’t handle it. They can barely handle being the main event after three matches on a card. I’m MJF. Ain’t nobody going to be able to follow me, ain’t nobody going to be able to top me, so I look at it as a challenge.

Would it be nice if my boss had a 10-match card instead? Or an eight-match card? Yes, that would be f*cking lovely. But at the end of the day, I knew why everybody bought a ticket. They bought a ticket to see MJF, amongst other stars, yes, but they wanted to see me get my head shaved. That’s not ever happening. So it made it even sweeter to pocket their money and crush their hopes and dreams.”

MJF also spoke about Kenny Omega, his opponent on tonight’s AEW Dynamite: Beach Break in Clearwater, Florida. The match carries a major stipulation: if Omega loses, he will never be allowed to challenge for the AEW World Championship again.

AEW is also presenting the match as another chapter in MJF’s dominance over Omega. The champion has already won their previous two title matches, including their bout at AEW Dynasty in Vancouver.
