Speculation about a possible Mike Santana debut for WWE at Saturday Night’s Main Event, which takes place this Saturday, July 18, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, has grown considerably.

That possibility has grown significantly in recent days, after the wrestler parted ways with TNA and posted a video looking back at the top moments of the last two years of his career. Santana was born in the Bronx, which makes the event a very favorable setting for his possible debut.

According to WrestleVotes Radio, via Fightful Select, the arrival of the former TNA World Champion in WWE is being treated as a matter of time. Sources expect Santana to be with the company by the end of the summer, possibly appearing on WWE programming soon.

So far, though, no source has confirmed his debut will happen at Saturday Night’s Main Event, but given his ties to the city, that scenario would make a lot of sense. For now, treat all of this as speculation.

Santana lost the TNA World Championship to Nic Nemeth at Slammiversary on June 28, bringing his run with the company to an end. He did not appear at the tapings held after the pay-per-view and was also removed from TNA’s official roster page.

Saturday Night’s Main Event will begin at 8 p.m. ET, streaming exclusively on Peacock. The show will mark the special’s return to Madison Square Garden for the first time since 2007.
