Omos, who has been featured heavily on AAA programming, talked about his current run with the company and had high praise for the fan reaction at its shows.
In a recent interview with Complex Graps, he described his experience in the Mexican promotion, where the crowds have stood out most.
Omos said the fans have been great, that they’re into the matches, and that they get excited watching the wrestlers perform. His run there has been “nothing short of amazing,” he said, and the only thing that spoiled it was Rey Mysterio, who he called a little pest.
Things with Mysterio have gone in a different direction over the past few weeks. On August 22, a match between Omos and Galeno ended in a no contest. After the match, Omos attacked Mysterio and was suspended indefinitely.
At AAA Ola de Calor on August 30, Omos turned up again despite the suspension, this time as a fan with a ticket. After another brawl, Mysterio booked a match between the two for night one of Triplemanía 34 this Friday, September 11, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The stipulation puts Omos’ future with the company on the line. If he beats Mysterio, his suspension is lifted. If he loses, he’s gone from AAA for good.
Omos’ AAA run started in style. In August 2025, at Triplemanía XXXIII, he won the Copa Bardahl by last eliminating La Parka.
