Omos revealed new details about his relationship with The Undertaker, explaining why he asked the WWE Hall of Famer for permission before using some of his signature moves.
Speaking on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, Omos said he has deep respect for the Deadman and would never use another wrestler’s moves without talking to them first.
“I have a ton of respect for The Undertaker. So, you know, I wanted—you know, I’m brought up by the old-school guys. You don’t use somebody else’s moves without asking for permission.”
That’s exactly why he went straight to The Undertaker before adding any of those moves to his arsenal.
“So, I made sure to do the proper thing and say, ‘Hey, is it okay if I use that?’ Is it okay if I can borrow some of your moves and add to my repertoire?”
“Absolutely. Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely. Never. I would never want to do another person’s move while they’re still working. I just think that, to me personally, I just think it’s very tacky.”
After getting Undertaker’s blessing, Omos started with the Snake Eyes and Big Boot before eventually asking to use the Last Ride as well.
“Once I got the approval, it was on the running. Okay. And it started off with the with the big boot snake eyes. And then after that was like, oh, can I do the uh last ride? Sure. And then I was able to debut that in Japan last year.”
The Last Ride was one of the highlights of Omos’ run in Pro Wrestling NOAH. In January 2025, he hit the move on Kaito Kiyomiya to retain the GHC Tag Team Championship alongside Jack Morris.
Omos is currently working with AAA and defeated Rey Mysterio in the main event of Triplemanía 34 Night 1 last Friday.
