NXT will go head-to-head with Dynamite for viewers on November 4. WWE pushed that week’s NXT back a day because of the midterm elections on November 3.
The CW’s schedule lists NXT at 8 p.m. ET, directly opposite Dynamite. The network has Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble scheduled in NXT’s place on November 3. Dynamite will air as usual on TBS and HBO Max.
The November 4 Dynamite will be a special Blood & Guts edition from the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.
AEW announced the show in September. At the time, NXT was not scheduled to air against Dynamite, so the Blood & Guts date doesn’t appear to have anything to do with WWE.
The Blood & Guts teams were confirmed on Wednesday’s Dynamite. Will Ospreay, Adam Copeland, Steven Borden, Darby Allin, and The Young Bucks will face Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis, and Jake Doyle of the Don Callis Family.
This won’t be the first time an election has put NXT and Dynamite head-to-head.
In November 2024, WWE also moved NXT to a Wednesday because of the presidential election. The company held a special episode that night at the former ECW Arena in Philadelphia.
WWE won that head-to-head. According to Programming Insider, NXT drew 619,000 viewers to Dynamite’s 523,000. It also came out ahead in the 18-to-49 demographic.
