Chad Gable may be on the verge of one of the biggest moments of his WWE career.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, several people within WWE are pushing for Gable to have a prominent presence at this year’s SummerSlam.
SummerSlam 2026 will be held across two nights, August 1 and 2, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Gable’s hometown.
In recent weeks, Gable ended his run as the “Original” El Grande Americano after losing the Mask vs. Mask Match at AAA Noche de Los Grandes on May 30, where he was forced to unmask.
Since then, WWE has been working on a redemption arc for the former Alpha Academy leader. Gable has made amends with lucha libre names such as Penta, Rey Mysterio, and Dragon Lee, and they helped him after he was attacked by Rusev and Ethan Page on this week’s RAW.
Gable has never won a singles title on WWE’s main roster. His biggest accomplishments in the company remain his tag team title reigns.
It remains unclear what WWE has planned for Gable at SummerSlam.
