Raquel Rodriguez ranks Judgment Day as the greatest faction in WWE history. She credits the bond between its members as the biggest reason for the group’s success.
The Women’s Intercontinental Champion discussed her relationships with Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh in a recent interview with the San Antonio Express-News. She said they all see one another as family.
“This group means so much to me, honestly. We are family. We are family. And especially after this weekend, we didn’t have little Roxy with us on the South America tour and we didn’t have Dominik with us either, but me, JD, and Liv, whether it’s us three, whether it’s me, Liv, and Roxanne, or me, Dominik and JD, it doesn’t matter which small group of Judgment Day you’re going to get, you’re always going to get the full Judgment Day energy. I think that’s what keeps us so strong and what keeps us together is we all have that mindset that we are familia. We have that mindset that we have each other’s backs forever, no matter what. We had to kick Finn Balor out together. That was a real trauma bonding moment for all of us. I just think that we are the longest reigning faction and we are the strongest faction in WWE history because of our mindset and our love for each other and because we’re family.”
The group has changed considerably, though, with none of its three founders remaining in the current lineup. Edge formed Judgment Day with Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley in 2022. Finn Bálor subsequently took over the faction.
Roxanne Perez expressed a similar view during an August appearance on NotSam Wrestling Live. She called Judgment Day the greatest faction of all time, citing its ability to keep evolving through internal conflicts and membership changes as one reason for that assessment.
July brought similar praise from JD McDonagh in an interview with Off The Ropes. McDonagh said he hopes Judgment Day will be remembered as one of WWE’s most influential factions. He pointed to the group’s role in helping both him and Perez establish themselves on the main roster.
Money in the Bank qualifying matches for Dominik Mysterio and Roxanne Perez will put Judgment Day back in the spotlight on this Monday’s Raw. The September 21 show takes place in San Antonio, Texas.
