Roxanne Perez is asking fans to respect WWE talent’s privacy on the road, particularly at hotels and airports.
In an interview with OutKick Dropkick recorded in Las Vegas ahead of Triplemanía 34, Perez said arenas and meet-and-greets are the right place to ask for photos and autographs.
She said she gets how much those encounters mean, having grown up as a wrestling fan herself. But that fandom, Perez added, doesn’t justify showing up at wrestlers’ hotels or approaching them while they’re trying to catch a flight.
“We are just humans. We are WWE superstars but we are just humans.”
Perez acknowledged that some fans might take a refusal as a lack of respect, but she stressed that talent need to keep part of their lives separate from their public appearances.
“But there’s gotta be some line.”
The former NXT Women’s Champion did not point to a specific incident behind her comments. The topic picked back up in August, when Paige said a collector had tracked her flight details and was waiting at her connecting gate with around 30 photos to sign.
