Real Reason for Jacob Fatu’s Absence From WWE TV Revealed

Jacob Fatu has not appeared on WWE television since the September 28 episode of Raw, when Jaida Parker ran him over during a brawl between The Bloodline and 946.

There has been speculation in recent days, but Fatu’s absence has nothing to do with an injury or a project outside WWE.

Dave Meltzer wrote in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Fatu is off TV purely for storyline reasons and remains a key part of future plans involving both factions.

In an earlier report, Meltzer tied the absence to filming for a new WWE project starring Fatu, Joe Hendry and Drew McIntyre. The project does not appear to be the reason at this point.

Fatu is, however, part of a microdrama series produced in partnership with ReelShort, a platform that specializes in short-form content for mobile devices.

A previous report, though, said filming on the series wrapped in Los Angeles more than a month ago.

With Fatu off TV for now, the next round of The Bloodline’s feud with 946 is set for the October 12 episode of Raw.

On orders from Roman Reigns, Jimmy and Jey Uso will team with Solo Sikoa against Royce Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price in a six-man tag team match.

Reigns himself is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight at Money in the Bank in New Orleans on Saturday, October 10.
