Roman Reigns and Penta delivered one of WWE‘s biggest digital moments of 2026 with their match on Monday Night RAW in Mexico City.
According to data compiled by EliteRockerz, videos from the match topped 74 million views across WWE’s social media platforms in under 15 hours. That makes Reigns vs. Penta the most-watched televised wrestling match of the year on the company’s socials.
The massive numbers match what happened inside Arena CDMX. The match marked RAW’s first trip to Mexico City in 15 years and ended with Reigns retaining the World Heavyweight Championship after a Superman Punch into the Spear.

Penta earned his title shot by beating Rey Fenix in a tournament final on August 31. Despite the loss, he came close to winning at several points, including after hitting a Springboard Mexican Destroyer.
To put Penta’s reach in perspective, Nick Khan previously revealed that his WWE debut generated nearly 100 million social media impressions. The WWE president also said the company saw a bump in Latino viewership whenever he appeared.
Reigns’ story has already moved on, though. After RAW went off the air, LA Knight showed up and hit the champion with a BFT. WWE later confirmed Reigns vs. Knight for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank on October 10 in New Orleans.
