Ryan Garcia’s cameo on this week’s Monday Night RAW has drawn even more backstage heat in WWE.

According to Fightful Select, several names made it known internally that they had no interest in working with Garcia.

Garcia turned up on the July 27 RAW at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, the go-home show for SummerSlam. Joe Hendry and Danhausen were running a concert segment at the expense of The Judgment Day when the boxer, who had been playing along in the ring, turned on them and smashed a guitar across Hendry’s back.

That brought Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh out for the run-in, and the two laid out Danhausen, Hendry and the Minihausens while Garcia celebrated alongside them.

The internal reaction to the whole thing was already negative. Garcia’s involvement was viewed as underwhelming and unnecessary given his recent controversies, while the Hendry and Danhausen concert was said to have missed the mark.

The WBC expelled Garcia in July 2024 after he used racial slurs against Black people and made derogatory comments about Muslims during a livestream. He apologized, and the ban was rescinded in November 2025.

The Raw appearance came three days after tickets went on sale for Garcia’s September 12 WBC welterweight title defense against Conor Benn at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Zuffa Boxing, also under the TKO umbrella, is promoting that fight.
