WWE has finally booked the match between Paige and Nikki Bella. The match will take place on the September 11 Friday Night SmackDown, live from Arena CDMX in Mexico City.
The confirmation came during the WWE SmackDown tapings for the September 4 episode, held last night in Cleveland, Ohio. In a backstage segment, Nikki Bella took part in an interview that featured an appearance by Paige. Afterward, WWE officially announced the match between the two for the show in Mexico.
The rivalry had its major turning point at SummerSlam. Paige teamed with Nikki and Brie Bella to face Fatal Influence, but Jacy Jayne secured the victory by hitting the Rolling Encore on Paige. Right after the match, Nikki and Brie surprised and attacked their own partner.

1:45 AM · Aug 29, 2026The story added another chapter on this week’s WWE SmackDown. Paige attempted to win the Women’s United States Championship from Jacy Jayne but was defeated after a distraction by Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid. After the match, Nikki appeared and attacked Paige again.
The match in Mexico City will also be quite special as it puts Paige and Nikki Bella one-on-one after nearly 11 years. Their last televised singles match took place on the October 22, 2015 WWE SmackDown, when Nikki defeated Paige with the Rack Attack.
