Stephanie Vaquer may be very close to returning to WWE programming after spending several weeks sidelined by injury.

According to PWInsider Elite, there have already been creative discussions about Vaquer’s return, and some people backstage expect her to be at next week’s Monday Night RAW in Greensboro, North Carolina. Nothing has been officially announced by WWE as of now.

Vaquer has been off television since the April 27 episode of RAW, when she was attacked backstage by The Judgment Day. In the segment, Roxanne Perez shoved a production crate into Vaquer’s shoulder, while Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were also involved in the attack.

Shortly afterward, Michael Cole said on commentary that Vaquer had suffered a second-degree acromioclavicular sprain in her left shoulder, which would keep her out of action for some time.

The injury also reportedly led to major changes to WWE’s plans. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the rematch between Vaquer and Morgan for the Women’s World Championship at Backlash on May 9 had to be canceled because of the Chilean star’s physical condition.

It is worth remembering that Vaquer lost the title to Morgan at WrestleMania 42, ending a 210-day reign. The match, which was heavily criticized for its short length, was reportedly shortened because both women went into the event dealing with physical issues.

It remains to be seen whether WWE will immediately resume the rivalry between Vaquer and Morgan, or if “La Primera” will be repositioned in the women’s division before returning to the title picture.
