Stephanie Vaquer is nearing the end of a nearly three-month absence from WWE. The current expectation is that the Chilean star returns to programming the week before SummerSlam, or during the premium live event itself, set for August 1-2 in Minneapolis.
In a new update during a Q&A session, WrestleVotes said the company is working with that window to bring La Primera back.
“Likely around SummerSlam, the week before, or at SummerSlam—in that range. The show could definitely use her. That women’s division on RAW is lacking without her. So, looking forward to getting her back around SummerSlam.”
Vaquer has been off WWE television since the April 27 episode of Monday Night RAW. That’s when Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez attacked her, an angle WWE used to write her off TV while she recovered from a legitimate second-degree sprain in the AC joint of her shoulder.

Early on, there was only optimism that the former Women’s World Champion would be healed up in time for SummerSlam, without a defined timeline. In May, WWE went as far as discussing creative ideas for her return and considered using her around Clash in Italy. Vaquer never made the trip for the European tour, though, and those plans got pushed back.
Before the injury, the Chilean had dropped the Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan at WrestleMania 42, and a continuation of that rivalry had even been considered. Morgan is now set to defend the title against IYO SKY.
Despite the new prediction, there’s still no confirmation that Vaquer will wrestle at the show itself. Her return could also happen on the go-home RAW before SummerSlam, laying the groundwork for what’s next.
