Steve Maclin has finally addressed his TNA departure, which the company officially confirmed on Sunday.

On his official X account, the former TNA World Champion revealed that he was the one who requested his release, ending a five-year run with the company.

“Last week I requested my release from TNA. I put my blood, sweat, and tears into everything I’ve done over the last 5 years and I’ll always be thankful for my time there. But now, it’s time to STACK BODIES. See you soon.”

TNA announced earlier that it had come to terms on the releases of Maclin and Myla Grace from their respective contracts, effective immediately. The company only wished both of them the best in their next steps.

Maclin had wrestled for TNA since 2021, after leaving WWE, where he worked as Steve Cutler and was part of The Forgotten Sons. During his time with the company, he captured the IMPACT World Championship once and also became a two-time TNA International Champion.

His final stretch with the company was eventful. In January, Maclin was “fired” as part of a storyline before being reinstated and receiving a world title opportunity against Mike Santana at Sacrifice.
