Add as a preferred source on Google Steve Maclin returned to the ring for the first time since his TNA exit, and he made it clear there was bad blood backstage at his now-former company.
On Friday night, during Wrestling Revolver: No Country For Ole Mancer at the Calumet Center in Dayton, Ohio, Maclin made his entrance for his match against Joe Alonzo and looked directly into the camera before saying the following:
“I told that cuck I quit.”
The line was a reference to TNA President Carlos Silva. In his final TV appearance for the company, on the May 21 episode of TNA iMPACT!, Maclin challenged Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship and confronted Silva during the match.
Maclin’s TNA exit was made official on June 7, along with Myla Grace’s, with both releases effective immediately. The company issued a brief statement wishing both names luck.
Maclin said shortly afterward that he had requested his release the previous week, thanking the company for five years and saying it was now time to “stack bodies.”
According to Fightful Select, Maclin wanted the news to be kept quiet, but TNA allegedly issued the announcement without consulting him or Myla Grace.
Maclin had been with TNA since 2021. During his run, he won the IMPACT World Championship.
