Tessa Blanchard is no longer part of TNA, ending her second run with the company.

According to Fightful Select, the former TNA World Champion requested her release from her contract, and TNA granted it. Backstage, the belief is that CMLL wanted Blanchard to choose between continuing in Mexico or remaining tied to TNA.

With CMLL paying better and offering more dates, Blanchard chose to keep her schedule with the Mexican promotion, where she has been used more frequently in recent months.

The situation also ties into the current political tension between promotions. TNA has a relationship with WWE, which has taken control of AAA, CMLL’s main rival in Mexico. Because of that, having a wrestler who regularly appears on iMPACT! working CMLL events had reportedly been causing backstage discomfort.

Blanchard had been used in TNA as the leader of The Diamond Collective, alongside Victoria Crawford, Mila Moore and Robert Stone. The group received some focus, but never captured any titles.

In CMLL, however, her status is not expected to change. The Mexican promotion is already advertising Blanchard for Arena México this Wednesday, where she will team with Marcela against Keyra and Candela.

Blanchard returned to TNA in late 2024, attacking Jordynne Grace at Final Resolution.
