AEW’s Thunder Rosa added another title to her résumé during Friday’s CMLL Viernes Espectacular at Arena México, defeating India Sioux to win the Mexican National Women’s Championship.
In the closing stretch, Thunder Rosa hit the Fire Thunder Driver and scored the pin to secure the victory and leave Arena México with the title.
La Mera Mera earned the title shot on July 19 by winning an eliminator against Reyna Isis, Keyra, Garra Negra, Sanely, Skadi, Hera and Olympia.

The loss ended India Sioux’s 511-day title reign. She had held the championship since defeating Sanely in March 2025 and made two successful defenses during her run.
This marked Thunder Rosa’s first title in CMLL. The former AEW Women’s World Champion signed deals with both promotions in April and confirmed she would work regularly in Mexico throughout the remainder of 2026.
