Tiffany Stratton is not hiding the pressure she is carrying into WWE Night of Champions. The reigning Women’s United States Champion will defend her title against Jade Cargill this Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The rivalry carries extra weight for Stratton. In November 2025, Cargill defeated Tiffany at Saturday Night’s Main Event, ending her 301-day reign as WWE Women’s Champion in a match Stratton entered while already injured.

Speaking ahead of Night of Champions, Stratton admitted she is afraid history could repeat itself, but said her physical condition is completely different this time.

“I cannot lie I am a little scared that that could happen again tonight, however, I was not 100% healthy back then. I am walking in tonight 100% healthy, my knee is no longer shredded to pieces and I am going to beat Jade Cargill. Jade Cargill may know how to get her hands dirty, but I know how to win when it matters. And tonight it matters most.”

The match was made official after Cargill challenged Stratton on the June 19 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Earlier this month, Cargill teamed with Michin to defeat Stratton and Charlotte Flair, pinning the champion and opening the door for a title shot.

The tension has continued to build in recent weeks. Stratton cost Cargill her first-round match in the Queen of the Ring Tournament, while Jade later interfered against Tiffany and Chelsea Green during a tag team match against Michin and B-Fab before joining a three-on-one attack.

On the final SmackDown before the event, Chelsea Green got involved again, saving Stratton from another attack by Cargill.

Night of Champions will also feature Cody Rhodes defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Gunther and Sami Zayn, along with the King and Queen of the Ring finals.
